Rosebud: Prologue -New-Prologue Darkness loomed over the desert. The starry night sky illuminated the bleak, dusty landscape. A long, sorrowful howl erupted from the wilderness. Deep within the gloom, a mother wolf crept over her pups protectively, grooming their soft fur. Not far away, the pups’ father was out hunting for food. The wolves’ den was a small burrow in the ground, near a tall, slender saguaro cactus. A snake slithered by the burrow, coiled around a small mouse. One of the pups whimpered.
